Leaving from the harbour of Malcesine we sail along the coast until reaching "Olive" Island, then across the lake to the Brasa waterfall. From here we go along the coast to Limone where there is a short stop before returning part the lemon groves then along the coast to Malcesine.

It is a picturesque small town, on the riviera of the East Gardesana, on the slopes of Mount Baldo. The superb Scaligero Castle of the XIII cent. rises on a promontory overlooking the Lake. Malcesine is a health-resort and a famous much frequented tourist place. Mount Baldo cableway carries one, in a short time, from the mediterranean climate of the Lake to a height of 1800 mt through a series of panoramic views of great beauty.

Located in front of Malcesine, on the Veronese shore of the lake, will enchant you with its wild nature, true paradise for divers and nature lovers. Immersing for about 13 meters, you come across a cave full of fish and a submerged nature. To the north of the island, under the splendid waters, you can see a 10-meter wreck that has become home to some fish species.

This is a characteristic, picturesque village overlooking the Lake in an evocative inlet among gardens, olive and lemon groves. It enjoys a very mild climate. Its small, rustic houses, pretty harbour, the narrow roads, give a characteristic note to this place much frequented by tourists.

The "limonaie" - lemon groves - are unique: they can only be found between Limone and Gargnano. In 1995 the local Council bought the Limonaia del Castèl with the view to promote this heritage. It was restored and put back to use by planting over 100 citrus plants, restructuring the ledges and irrigation system, and rebuilding the tool shed.

Thanks to Garda's mild climate cultivating olives represents one of the most prosperous economic activities of the past. The tradition of olive cultivation continues to be passed on and even today the Cooperativa Possidenti Oliveti, that affiliates all the olive-growers in Limone to its ancient olive-mill produces by millstones a cold pressed oil of very high quality.

The museum was set up in the former local council building and inaugurated in 2011. Inside the exhibition spaces display posters, calendars, holiday guides, souvenirs etc. A large area has also been dedicated to Limone's citizen Saint Daniele Comboni and the discovery of Apoliprotein A1, a good gene that helps to reduce heart disease.

One of the big socio-economic changes that concerned the village after the opening of the Gardesana road also affected the fishing industry which was gradually abbandoned. In the fishing museum, located inside the "Villa Boghi" lemon grove, a typical boat with the tools used everyday for this job by our grandfathers, informations on the types of fish that live in the lake, traditional fish based recipes and photos are on display.
